Demo v0.1.10 — February 24, 2026

The most recent update, focused on accessibility and learning the demo's toughest fight:

• New key rebinding system on the Windows build — remap controls to your preference.
• Tree Boss damage reduced so learning runs are less punishing.
• Tree Boss purple attack slowed down, giving you more time to react.
• Reactive tutorial for purple attacks — the game now teaches you how to defend the first time a purple attack connects.

Note: this update applies to the downloadable Windows demo. The browser web build may still be on the earlier v0.1.00 balance.

Public Demo v0.1.00 — Late 2025

The first playable slice of Apostate Verity, released free on itch.io as both a Windows download and a browser web demo. It showcases the core combat loop — tutorial fights, elite enemy packs, and the Tree Boss finale — and established the game's Souls-like, icon-reading defense system.

Planned for v0.2 and beyond

Based on KitDa Games' devlogs and developer replies, future versions are expected to expand well past the combat showcase:

• Story dialogue and hub areas — narrative content and an NPC village hub absent from the current combat-only demo.
• More enemies and a full quest chain ending in a boss.
• Multiple weapons plus equipment and currency systems.
• Gallery mode to replay unlocked adult scenes, with additional in-game H-scenes beyond defeat triggers.
• Branching level paths and bad endings tied to specific failures.
• Fast travel / map navigation and new melee and ranged skills.

Roadmap features are developer-stated plans and may change between builds — nothing here is a release promise.
