Is there an Apostate Verity APK or Android version?

No. KitDa Games has not released an Android (APK) or iOS build. Any site offering an "Apostate Verity APK" is distributing a third-party file the developer never made — most are fake or contain malware. Can I play Apostate Verity on my phone?

Not officially or safely. There is no mobile build. Your real options are to play the free web demo in a desktop browser, or download the Windows demo on a PC. Mobile browsers also struggle with the dodge-and-attack controls.

Is Apostate Verity free?

Yes — the current demo is completely free, both the web build and the Windows download. KitDa Games funds development through Patreon and Ci-en, so supporting them there is the best way to see the full game finished.

Web demo or Windows download — which should I play?

The browser web demo is an earlier build (v0.1.00), loads instantly, and is English-only — a great 15-minute taste test. The Windows demo (v0.1.10, ~118 MB) is the most current build: it adds key rebinding, the latest Tree Boss balance, and multiple language options. For learning the boss, the Windows build is easier.

What is the Tree Boss and why is it so hard?

The Tree Boss is the demo's main encounter and its real skill check — deaths while learning are normal. It tests whether you read the game's attack icons rather than panic-roll. KitDa Games' v0.1.10 update reduced the Tree Boss's damage and slowed its purple attack to make learning runs fairer. Our boss guide covers a repeatable method to beat it.

How does the combat / attack-icon system work?

Just before an enemy strikes, an icon flags how you're allowed to respond: some attacks can't be dodged, some can't be parried, and some can't be blocked. Reading that cue is the core of the game. Purple attacks in particular (including the Tree Boss's signature move) must be handled the correct way — the demo even pops a reactive tutorial the first time a purple attack hits you. What are the controls?

Default keyboard: Move WASD, Jump K, Dodge L, Attack J, Block Space, Parry Space + J, Heal O. A gamepad (Xbox / generic) works natively. The web demo uses a fixed layout; the Windows build adds full key rebinding. Full details on the controls page.

What languages does it support?

The downloadable Windows demo supports English, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Esperanto, and Chinese (Simplified & Traditional). The browser web demo is English-only.

Does it have adult / NSFW scenes and a gallery?

Yes — Apostate Verity is an 18+ / R18 (NSFW) title. Adult scenes are triggered on character defeat, and KitDa Games has said a dedicated gallery mode and additional in-game scenes are planned for future versions. We don't host any of that content — play the official build for it.

Is this the official Apostate Verity website?

No. This is an unofficial fan guide. Apostate Verity is created and published by KitDa Games, and the only official source is their itch.io page (plus their Patreon and Ci-en). We summarize public devlogs and our own demo playthrough to help players — we do not distribute game files.

The web demo shows a black screen or stuck loader — what do I do?

It's a sizeable Unity WebGL build, so give it 30–60 seconds for the first asset load. Use Chrome or Edge, allow itch.io through any ad/script blockers, and if WebGL still fails, install the Windows demo instead.
